I Write Because....

At times, it can be difficult for me to say what I want. To say what is really on my mind.

Other times...it seems like I have to hold myself back from saying what I really think. Coming from a very sassy family, this can be both a good and a bad thing, but can be very difficult to control at times. I, on more then one occasion, have been reminded to "kill them with kindness", even though it seems easier to just "kill them with sarcasm".

A lot of people ask me why I blog. I have never really come up with a good answer until now. Words  help me escape. Some people use exercise, meditation or even food as their form of escape. I use words. Whether I get lost in a good book, find the perfect quote on Pinterest that seems to describe what I'm going through at that time, or if it's just me sitting down and typing away/venting on this blog, words help me. I have learned many things about myself from having this blog, that I don't think I would/could have learned anywhere else.

Not too long ago I went back and read through some old blog posts of mine. It was interesting....I never usually 'plan' a blog post, I just go through out life as normal, and then one day I'll just feel like writing, so I sit and just go! Usually, I will only read through the post I'm writing once before posting it, to make sure there aren't any spelling errors, but for the most part, I just sit and write it out and then post it within an hour or so.

Blogging is how I know what I am thinking. I don't sit and ponder for hours about what I'm going to write, I just type it out and post it. Even though I couldn't tell you what was on my mind at the time, you can tell what it was by reading my blog posts. I can tell what it was by reading my blog posts.

This quote is the most perfect description of why I write!

Thanks Flannery O'Connor, I couldn't have said it better myself!

I didn't really know this until I started typing this out right now, but one of my biggest concerns seems to be my schooling/future career. Although I may not totally know which direction I want to go with my career, I seem to know a little bit more about what I want to do when I sit and write it out.

Which brings up a question I have...does anyone know how I can just be invited to Fashion Week without having to be a model/designer/loaded, crazy famous fashion blogger?! (because, ain't no body got time money for that!!)

JK (but seriously)

xo,
Mo

P.S: Ummmm, so Michael got engaged on Wednesday!! I am SO excited to have Kylie as a sister! Holla Holla!! :)
