April // My Life Be Like ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

SPOILER ALERT: April wasn't very exciting. Literally my life consists of church, church meetings, work, institute, working on my personal goals, and watching Star Wars. My goals are finally becoming a bigger priority in my life and I'm excited for how things have been going ever since I have made the change. My two visits to Utah were the most exciting things that happened this month.

Evie and I flew to Salt Lake City and went to General Conference. Fun Fact: I LOVE General Conference. I didn't always love conference but the past couple of years or so I have grown to love it. This past April conference was my absolute favorite so far. During the Priesthood session, Evie and I went to The Cheesecake Factory for dinner, and I was basically reading the talks to her as they were being given...(I follow several twitter accounts that were 'live tweeting' during the session). I couldn't get enough! And obviously we went shopping at City Creek during our trip to Salt Lake. I so miss that place.

Also the guy at the front desk asked if I was 16....after I told him my actual age, he said he would leave me a robe as a complimentary gift in the room. #winning

I also met up with my friend Spencer at Temple Square after the Sunday morning session. So fun! I hadn't seen him for like 3 days... #wereliterallyinthesameward #imshort

This past week we all flew up to Utah again for Lauren and Keltons wedding! It was so beautiful!

One of the first things I am doing when I get back? Hiking. I CANNOT wait to go hiking. I honestly miss the sun and the heat! I didn't even think that was possible. But I am beyond excited for summer.

And I can not wait to see this cute little fam of mine. They're honestly my favorite.

I've learned so much from the many months I have been here in Utah. I've learned a lot about (real) friends, relationships, family, and most importantly, myself. I've learned so many new things, that if I were to write it all down on here, this would become the worlds longest blog post, and I won't make you go through that ;)

But to be honest, I'm not totally sad I'm leaving. I'm excited. Sure, there's some friends I might miss, but that's what the FB is for. However, the hardest part about leaving would definitely be quitting my job. I know, I sound like a psychopath when I say that, but I love my job. I put my '2-weeks' in on Saturday, and that was by far one of the hardest things I have ever done. I have been so blessed to work for such an amazing company, and with so many great people. I am definitely going to miss it.

But, in less then 2 weeks, I'll be back home. I know it's where I'm supposed to be, and that's all that matters.

Oh, and he might kill me, but Happy Birthday to my BFFL. Who knew shopping at Wal-Mart could be so much fun?! And yes, that's a box of tampons that he's holding....I made him do it. :)

Church History Museum

Today's mission was supposed to send me on a free tour, but it interfered with my school schedule so I couldn't go. So the new mission was to research the 1844 presidential election after and then take a photo of something related to the topic in the Joseph Smith display in the President's Gallery at the museum. 

Done and done.

I LOVE walking through the Church History Museum. It is one of my absolute favorite things to do here in Salt Lake. So, I walked straight to the escalator that takes you to the Presidents Gallery, and the moment you get off that escalator, President Joseph Smiths gallery is the first thing you see.

This sign reads, "Henry Clay and John C. Calhoun, presidential candidates in 1844, detailed their political views in these letters in response to a request from Joseph Smith. Disappointed by their letters, Joseph Smith announced his own candidacy for the presidency."

So cool.
